Jr Dream Teams for 6th-8th Graders
Parents, all 6th-8th graders at Daystar are now part of the Middle School Student Ministry. Therefore they will move out of Kids Church and into Students, which meets on Wednesday evenings. On Sundays, they will worship in the main auditorium like their parents. However, if your new 6th grader would like to ‘serve’ on Sundays in Kids Church, the following opportunities are available for them:
Tech Team:
Help run the Pro-presenter, Audio, Video Screens, Game consoles, and Lighting in Kids Church.
Greeters/Hi Guys/Pop Sign Holder:
Outgoing person who will help greet and hang out with new students and families to Kids Church.
Reward Zone Team:
Will help man the desk and the ‘store’ at the Reward Zone.
Nursery Team:
Serve in the nursery and help care for babies.
Preschool Team:
Serve in the preschool rooms and help lead/care for children in the preschool classes.
Lobby Mascot Team:
Outgoing, energetic, individual who will put on the mascot costumes, be animated, and greet kids/families in the lobby on Sundays before and after service.
*Dance Team:
Lead the kids from the stage by doing the motions/dances to the praise and worship songs.
*weekly rehearsal attendance is required.
*Worship Team:
Must be a good vocalist and an outgoing, confident, individual. Lead the children in worship from the stage in Kids Church.
*Auditions required
After the student is on a team:
1. The student and/or parent is responsible to accept/decline/block out dates on Planning Center each month.
2. The student is responsible for showing up on time, on their scheduled day(s) to serve each month.
Note: This is not a “just show up when you can” opportunity. If the student and parent cannot commit to serving when scheduled, then the student should not sign up to serve. We are counting on students to be there if they sign up.
